Fall...Already?

Can you believe it? Fall is on the horizon even though we are still savoring summer. We just got in some of the new fall patterns from Tahki Stacy Charles.

Even though summer has by no means faded it is fun to sit down with a nice cup of coffee and browse through the sweater fashions for this fall. You are more than welcome to stop by, grab a cup of coffee and plot your fall sweaters!

Mountain Color Shawls

We also received a shipment of Mountain Color Shawl Kits! .
They are quite lovely

Hand Painted Yarns

Isn't this yarn just luscious? We received a beautiful shipment from the HandPaintedKnittingYarn.Co. There are two sizes of skeins, the 10 oz and the 20 oz.
The 10 oz skeins contains enough yarn to make a shawl, scarf or moebius. The 20 oz skein contains enough to make a stunning sweater!

New Patterns from Local Designer

Christina Wall teaches a sweater design class at Stitches & Scones. The results have been amazing. She now has three patterns available for sale at the store. The top pictured on the left is the "Linen Isle Tank" and, the skirt is the "Bella Skirt". The other top is the "Flax Tank". Her patterns are thorough and schematics are clear. We look forward to her future designs.

Professor McGonagall Costume

Lin makes a good Professor McGonagall. Molli sewed the black cape and purple cape for her wizard. They used a lot of fabric and will come in handy at Halloween.

This yarn is so soft you hate to felt with it, but it felts beautifully. It took a couple of months to receive and is selling fast. It works for patterns that call for two strands of worsted. Come see it soon.

Shots From Party.

Wizard Amazes Us With His Tricks.

The wizard had a pretty good card trick that the adults liked. The children liked the 3 balls into 1 illusion. Thanks to our wizard friend.

Blue Heron

The UPS man dropped off a huge box this morning. We were rather inquisitive because we weren't expecting any large yarn shipments until a little later in the month. However, we were delight when we realized it was our Blue Heron Shipment!
The beaded rayon came in several beautiful summer colors. This yarn would be perfect for a cool summer top.
We also received a rayon with little flecks of gold. I think several of us have our eyes on this yarn for summer wraps.

The Egyptian Cotton would make a beautiful lace shawl!
