Manos Serena!


This is a luxurious blend of baby alpaca and pima cotton, hand-dyed in large kettles to create a marbelized palette of colors. No 2 skeins are exactly alike! Put up in 170 yard skeins, 22-26 sts/4 inches on a US 4-6 needle. We have these 3 colorways....Thunder, English and Dusk.

Malabrigo Is Here!

We just received a huge shipment of Malabrigo yarns today! Eighteen colors of sock yarn....2 colors of lace weight, 6 shades of Chunky, 3 shades of Rasta (super chunky), and 13 colors of Rios. Many of these are new colors!
We also got Malabrigo Book 3....lovely new patterns for all this delicious yarn!

New Liberty Wool here!

We received the two colorways of 100% machine washable Liberty Wool for April. Reflecting Pool is a combination of cool, calm colors and Campfire is a blend of bold and bright colors. Both are shown below.. . . and here are project ideas for these lovely yarns. We hope to see you at the store soon!

Lovely yarns from Muench here!

We've received a beautiful shipment of the following yarns from Muench.

Kid Melange is shown at left in Aqua, but we also have it in Orchid and Gray. It's a wonderfully soft, super kid mohair that would be ideal for sweaters, scarves or lacy wraps.

We've also added Gnocchi Catena in Red to the other Catena color choices that we already have in stock.

Coccinella is here in Lilac, Kiwi, Ecru and Cotton Candy (shown here). Coccinella is a 60% cotton, machine washable yarn with unique ridges which give the finished project a creative look.

Finally, we have Alta Moda Estate. We have it in Seafoam, Khaki (shown at right), Black and White. This entwined yarn is 90% cotton and would be perfect for a multitude of summer projects.

Knit Picks are Here!

We are now carrying Knit Picks needles and accessories! Knit Picks products are very well made and beautiful, too. In addition to sets of interchangeable needles, we have needle binders and other accessories to enhance your knitting experience. We also have individual circular needles in various sizes. If you've knit with Knit Picks needles, you already know that they have nice sharp points and are a joy to use.

New "Scarf-in-a-scarf' Knitting Kits!

We have received new "scarf-in-a-scarf" knitting kits! This kit comes with four skeins of silk merino yarn and a hand painted silk scarf dyed to match the yarn. To create your scarf, just knit the simple pattern included with the kit. The pattern creates a long scarf with ten buttonholes. After the knitting is done, just slide the silk scarf through the buttonholes to create a one-of-a-kind look! The scarves can be worn in many different ways including the ways shown below.

New Shipment of Gorgeous Manos Yarn

Stitches and Scones has just received a new shipment of yarn.

The first yarn is Kettle Dyed, Manos lace in three beautiful Spring colors. Manos lace is a combination of Baby Alpaca, Silk , and Cashmere. It comes in skeins of approximently 439 yards. This yarn is Handwsh and Dry Flat for $17.00 a skein.

The second yarn is Manos Wool Clasica Naturals in four beautiful colors. This yarn is a Handspun Kettle Dyed yarn that comes in skeins of 158 yards. The yarn is handwash/Dry Flat for $18.00 a skein.

Our third yarn is Plymouth Select, Worsted Merino Superwash. Stitches and Scones has received seven different colors. The yarn is Kettle Dyed, 100% Superwash Fine Merino Wool. Each skein comes with approximently 436 yards for $29.99.

Stitches and Scones fourth yarn is EROS II. This yarn is a decorative yarn in beautiful blue colors. Each ball comes with approximently 165 yards for $7.99.

Two New Booklets from Classic Elite

Home Sweet Home and High Seas booklets are now at Stitches & Scones.

Home Sweet Home has fifteen designs (both knitted and crocheted) for the home in eight yarns.

High Seas has nine accessory and small garment designs using seven different yarns. These booklets have lovely patterns for spring and summer projects, so stop by soon to have a look.

New Shipment of Jitterbug

Stitches & Scones has just received a HUGE shipment of Colinette Jitterbug sock yarn in five gorgeous colorways! Jitterbug is hand dyed and superwash treated. It does need to be treated "kindly". Machine wash cold and dry on the lowest setting. Jitterbug costs $22.50 for 440 yards. Here are two of the five colorways we have.

Colts Superbowl Scarves

We just turned in 27 more scarves for the 2012 Super Scarves!

This adorable story is about Freddie, a little platypus who has to learn to sleep in his own bed.
At the end of the book, there are knitting patterns for Freddie the platypus, his blanket, his coveralls (to fit a toddler!), and a really nifty "baby envelope" which would make a wonderful baby gift!

"Linsey" ...a new yarn from Berocco!
