Charmed Knits just arrived and it is indeed charming. We have been delighted by all the wonderful patterns in the book. This is one of the best $15 books we have ever had! AND... we have shipments from Brown Sheep, Cascade, Plymouth and Tahki Stacey Charles in all the colors for each Hoggwart's House.

New Clearance Items

We have some exciting things on clearance right now. We have moved the LB Evan purse kits back to clearance as well as the Nicky Epstein purse kits. And yes, it is not a rumor, we do have the Hanne Falkenberg sweater kits on clearance. These kits make great summer projects, especially if you are going on vacation and need a "vacation project."

We received a new shipment of Universal Yarns. We are so excited about these versatile yarns.

Inspire is an acrylic/wool blend.

Rebecca is a wonderful acrylic/mohair boucle.

Ditto is a wonderful wool blend sock yarn. It's machine washable!

Sonnet is a blend of silk and wool.

Poem is a beautiful 100 % wool yarn.

Tonia made a beautiful sweater out of Poem. We love how Poem is a self-striping yarn.

Cute German Guy Knits with Our Group

Jens joined the girls for the Thursday night "Sit & Knit Group". Molli and Jens knit together at the racetrack outside of Dresden several years ago. It was raining and the cars couldn't run on the oval. He is an engineer in town to work the F1 race this weekend. We enjoyed his company.

Baby Sweater

We have a new baby sweater pattern by Dream in Color. Knitted from the top down it knits up quickly. We all want an adult pattern now! As you can see we didn't have a baby to use as the model. Mr. Bear was a good stand in.

Designing Divas

Two more sweaters have emerged from the Design Basics Class. Kelly designed a beautiful, breezy linen summer sweater with a lattice cable and a lattice lace pattern.

Kim designed a beautiful V-neck knotted cable pullover with a purl lattice background.

We definitely have two more designing divas on our hands!

"The Hookers"

Our "Hookers" came in full force yesterday.

They arrived with all their gear and yards and yards of fabric.

It was great to see everyone's project as well as hear the tips and advice they had to offer.

Chris Bylsma Grabs Kim

We were walking through the aisles at the TNNA market, and suddenly Kim was grabbed by a very attractive, well-dressed lady. She said, "I heard my sweater was around here." Kim was wearing a Rolling Stones sweater from Chris's design. Chris loved it. What a thrill for Kim.

Mountain Colors Has Five New Colors!

These are the five new colors for the fall, and they are ordered. It is hard to choose your favorite. Besides the beautiful fibers, we love the Mountain Colors owners and staff. They are great!

Staff Attends the TNNA Market in Columbus

Although the cute Italian guys from the yarn manufacturers were a distraction for our younger (and older staff), Monday was a fun day at the market in Ohio. The big theme of this year's TNNA trade show was to target teens and tweens and maybe even hire one. Starting with Faith, Stitches & Scones has been doing this from the start with great success. Our teen staff in invaluable. They are full of ideas so come meet them.
