Knit Pickers Come for a Visit

We had a delightful visit from an Ohio knitting group, "The Knit Pickers", this past Saturday. Their bright faces, excited voices and inspiring ideas added to our Saturday morning routine at the shop.

They picked out their yarn for their fair project -- it was a beautiful complicated sweater pattern by Lucy Neatby! (I was quite impressed.)

They sent us a sweet email when they got home saying, " Just wanted to tell you how much our group enjoyed visiting Stitches N Scones last Saturday. I love your yarn selection, friendly staff, and - naturally - the scones! Especially the cinnamon!"

Kristen Knits Mittens

Lin has been working with the new Julia Yarn that came in yesterday. She really likes it and has found that it is nice and soft and knits up quite nicely. There is still room in the mitten class for the Kristen Knits Book!

Alpaca With A Twist

Alpaca With A Twist is a new Indiana yarn company we are SOOO excited about! We have received in their Baby Twist and had to reorder the same day we received it -- everyone snatched it away.

Today we received Mojito! We are the first shop to get Mojito and we LOVE IT. The colors are long play color ways and are quite lovely. Alpaca With A Twist is sending us the other colors tomorrow! We can't wait to play with it!

Julia Yarn

We have been waiting anxiously for our Julia Yarn from Westminster Fibers to come. It arrived today! We are so happy with the colors and the texture of the yarn.

Kristin Nicholas' book "Kristin Knits", arrived with the shipment and we just adore the book. All the patterns in the book use the Julia Yarn. I was really impressed with selection of patterns in the book -- there are socks, sweaters, mittens, hats and whimsical scarves!

Lin is teaching a class for the Diamond Panes Pullover on Wednesdays (January 16, 23, 30 & February 6, 1 PM - 3 PM, $60). If you are interested in taking the class but cannot make this first class give Lin a call and she would be more than happy to schedule something that fit your schedule!
