January Color of the Month!

The January color of the month from Dream in Color has arrived! It is Groovy Chunky yarn in the colorway Alpine Flurry. The yarn is a variegated mix of brown, cream, and light blue, a perfect winter color. Also free with purchase is a pattern for a cute ear flap hat!

New Ultra Alpaca Tonal!

Today we received six new colors of Ultra Alpaca Tonal from Berroco. This worsted weight, hand-wash yarn is made up of a blend of alpaca and wool and is perfect for sweaters, hats, and other winter projects!

New Shipment From Berroco!

We received several colorways of Jawoll Magic Sock yarn, which creates a lovely shading on your sock. The sample shown would make a great sock for your favorite guy!

We also now have nearly every color of Berroco's Vintage DK weight. This comes in hanks of 288 yards and is machine-washable. The sample shown here is colorway Wasabi.

New Beginning Knitting Classes!

At the request of many customers, we have added beginning knitting classes to the schedule. There is a class starting soon in on December 11 and other classes start up on January 4 and January 20. The classes are taught by Lin Maggard and Chris Gilbert. Come make an easy first project and get started with knitting!

Prevail, is in need of three more comfort shawls by Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Stitches and Scones will take 20% off yarn purchased to knit a comfort shawl. The yarn needs to be machine washable. Every shawl made, needs to wrap around the shoulders of the ladies (who take part in this program). This is a great way to give back to the community. Jezebel from South West Trading Company...a lovely 100% merino wool! The gauge is 8 sts/inch, which means it will make beautiful socks or a shawl. Put up in 50 gr. skeins.

Today we recieved a new Manos shipment with 4 different types of yarn. We have the Manos Silk Blend (22-24 sts per 4"/10cm). We have the Manos Lace that is a lovely blend of baby alpaca, silk, and cashmere (32 sts = 4"/10cm).We have beautiful new colors in Manos Maxima ,which despite the name, is actually a fairly thin yarn (18-20 sts per 4"/10cm).
