Local knitter, Katie Hicks, won Grand Champion of the Needlecraft category at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair this year. She went on to the Indiana State Fair and won a Blue Merit for her combination of cabled scarf, hat, and fingerless mittens. She used Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted. Each piece has the same cable pattern, and Katie transferred the pattern from the mittens to her other projects. Not only is she a beautiful knitter, but she created the scarf and hat patterns.
