Kid Mohair Coat

Helen Oden came in with this beautiful Kid Mohair Boucle coat she had made. We were impressed with its warmth, drape and coziness. Good job Helen!

Needlepoint Class

Lin's needlepoint class was a flurry of activity today. It was fun to see their projects -- Lin handpainted their initials for their first canvas for class.

It was so cute to hear them when they finished the class and came through to purchase their yarn -- they were already planning their next projects!

Local Grand Champion Winner

Local knitter, Katie Hicks, won Grand Champion of the Needlecraft category at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair this year. She went on to the Indiana State Fair and won a Blue Merit for her combination of cabled scarf, hat, and fingerless mittens. She used Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted. Each piece has the same cable pattern, and Katie transferred the pattern from the mittens to her other projects. Not only is she a beautiful knitter, but she created the scarf and hat patterns. Congratulations. We look forward to seeing next year's project.

Dress Knitted in Ribbon Yarn

Christina finished this dress from a Filatura di Crosa pattern. This soft ribbon, Venezia, created a nice drape in our garment. The availability of dress and skirt patterns has grown this year. Start with a cute skirt for a little girl you know. If she is like my daughter she will love it.

Sock Yarn from Fleece Artist

The colors are hard to resist. If you are not a sock knitter, this yarn will make you want to be one. This shipment was worth the wait.

Mystery Stole 3 is Finished

A frequent customer of our store, Nancy Lind, shared her beautiful Mystery Stole with us. The slight variation in the Pale Khaki Malabrigo Lace yarn adds to the overall appeal of this stole. With an affordable price and much positive feedback, this yarn is a hit. Thanks Nancy.
